PAX ET BONUM!

Dear Friends,

Greetings! July is the month in which we honor the Precious Blood of Jesus… His great, undying, everlasting LOVE for us! What greater Love is there, than Our Lord’s who laid His very Life down for us?  I think if we could only fully realize HOW MUCH we are loved by our Heavenly Father, we would not be anxious about anything except losing Him. Just as we love our children and think always of their welfare, so it is with the children of God. Yes? Are we suffering from an illness and fear the future? From anxiety over gas prices? From fear of wars and famines and how they will affect us? Yet this fear reveals we are still quite imperfect, and lacking in perfect love, doesn’t it?

The First Epistle of John, Chapter 3 tells us:
Fear is not in charity: but perfect charity casteth out fear, because fear hath pain. And he that feareth, is not perfected in charity. Let us therefore love God, because God first hath loved us.

And St. Paul tells the Romans in Chapter 7:
Who then shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation? or distress? or famine? or nakedness? or danger? or persecution? or the sword?

And so I ponder these thoughts today, and share them with you. Business has always scared me, there are so many bills, so many responsibilities, and I am just a simple mom! I am so pleased when I get the laundry folded and dinner made! I am ever in amazement at how our little business putters along in an age of email… especially when postage costs keep increasing.  I used to bite my nails, wondering if we will survive, but as we plug along over the years in spite of the hurdles, I have to ask myself:

Why do I worry? This business is here to promote the love of God, and Trust in Him. Every time I am anxious I am undoing my very reason for this business! How am I trusting Him if I am looking at bank accounts rather than concentrating on Our Lord, our true Treasure, who is within and can’t be lost unless we intentionally ask Him to leave? My Kingdom is within you... I have it made as long as I remain in the state of grace! What does it matter if I live in a castle or under a tree, God’s loving Providence will always be above me… and you. Right?

Just look at the beautiful example of the Holy Family. From the get go there was great trial, yet therein lies the true treasure! Of living by Faith rather than trusting in material things, right? As Our Lord told the evil one “Man does not live by bread alone, but in every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.” And did He not tell us He will care for us more than He does the birds of the air or the lilies of the field? So let us trust He will!

So we pray the Our Father and trust He will always supply our daily bread, and He does in more ways than one, doesn’t He? Whether it be a simple crust, or an entire loaf, we always have just enough to get by, and that is all we need! Yes?

Anway, the Good Lord has given us a bunch of stationery we would like to trade for loaves of bread, so what do you say? We haven’t had a sale like this for a long time! The hot, slow days of summer are here, yet the bills keep coming in! So you can save on your Christmas shopping and we’ll pay our bills. We can join together then in giving praise to God for His Providential Care! Amen!

Save 10%… 20%… 30% on your orders!
Sale ends July 15th.

God bless you!

Prayers Please!

Posted in General Comments at 1:38 pm by Kathy

Greetings Dear Friends in Christ!

I’ve been wanting to incorporate a guestbook/prayer request area onto our site, but I am so ignorant of how to do these things, it takes awhile for such ideas to see the light of day! But with a bit of help from technical support, here we are!

Anyway,  I want to say “hi” and thanks for being there! We pray daily for our customers, and have Masses offered from time to time for you. If you have any prayer intentions, you can jot them here, or just give them to your angel to give to ours. If you have anything you wish to share with us, or our customers, please do.  Feel free to just say hello, or make a suggestion, say a prayer or ask for prayers! I will try to respond to any questions and comments as I can.

I know you are amongst the most charitable people in the world, so I am sure this piece of advice is unnecessary, but just so I cover my bases… Please consider your words before you post. Anything which is unseemly according to Christian conduct will be edited or removed.

Thank you all and may God bless each of you!
