Now with full color Heavenly Envelopes! We have considered calling these cards “Catechism Cards”, as they say so much about our Faith in word and picture. They are Blank on the inside so you can say it your way, but the front, back and bookmark are chock full of Saintly quotations, thoughts and prayers. The picture doesn’t stop on the front either, we can’t restrain ourselves, and quite often the back could be the front! Most of our cards can be used for any occasion, we’ve purposely not said “Happy Birthday” or “Happy Mother’s Day”... which would limit their use for those days alone. One card at a time, perhaps we can change the sentiments of the world! Each Card is printed on quality card stock and is approximately 4¼”x 5¼”. ENVELOPE INCLUDED WITH EACH CARD. MIX & MATCH! Back of Card reads: There are a few that would take Christ out of everything, our schools, our government, even His own Birthday! They have crossed His Name out of Christmas with xmas. Holy Days were replaced with “Happy Holidays”, Advent Season with “Seasons Greetings” and so it goes. Let us put God back in His place this year and greet all we meet with a cheery “Happy Holy Days” Regardless of the season, we can make every day a holy day and invite God back into our daily conversation. Did you know “God be with you” is the unabbreviated “Good Bye”? If you were in a hurry it was “God Be” and eventually became our “Good Bye”. HAPPY HOLY DAYS! God Be With You! Back of Card reads: There is an interesting story behind this card. My husband and I could not have children of our own, and though we prayed for them, nothing seemed to happen. Then, while traveling through Portugal, we stumbled upon the birthplace of St. Anthony in Lisbon. We were surprised, thinking him to be an Italian Saint, and so our curiosity drew us deeper inside. We knelt in the tiny room of his birth and prayed for a miracle. We knew St. Anthony was the Saint for finding things, but children? Still, we felt we should ask him to try, and promised to name them after him should he succeed. Soon after, St. Anthony led us to our son and daughter in the heart of Russia! (Note: By strange coincidence, our children were baptized in St. Anthony of Padua Maronite Catholic Church in Cincinnati, though we belong to a different parish. It just worked out that way! ) Years later, a dear lady approached us with the request to print a card with St. Anthony and the accompanying prayer for children. She felt it was something God desired, and because of our own experience, we could only agree! Not only that, but Barbara prayed to St. Therese as well, asking that a pink rose be given as a sign if this was indeed God’s will. Her answer came immediately through the gift of this picture now featured on our card! St. Anthony and the Child Jesus holding a pink rose! Back of Card reads: Delightful children carry the Lamb of God, strewing flowers along the way... the Easter bunny is in the bushes where he belongs. :) Back of card reads: About Easter Eggs, Rabbits, Chicks & Lambs In times past, eggs along with meat were given up during Lent. When Easter arrived, eggs were dyed red to symbolize the joy of the Holy Season. The chick emerging from the egg is thought to be symbolic of Christ emerging from the tomb. In pagan culture, the egg was an emblem of new life or spring, and the rabbit was the symbol of fertility that laid the eggs, thus we have the “Easter Bunny”. How unfortunate that this pagan custom has again surfaced, that the Easter rabbit abounds while it is hard to find Our Risen Lord. This year let us encourage all to return to our Christian traditions... we have so many beautiful ones! Let us ban the bunny and celebrate instead the Lamb of God! It is no accident that Jesus, the true Paschal Lamb, was crucified on the feast of the Passover, when the figurative lamb was slain. Let us take advantage of His Sacrifice which is renewed daily in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. By consuming Him in the Holy Eucharist, He will consume us!
